A catalogue of mods that were created by me. Unfortunately I didn't do this for more than 10 years, so most of them are currently hard to find and missing from the section. Also I am not adding those which have the entire game packed with them (because I do not want to become an "Evil Pirate", for example Baldur's Gate 1 tutu, Dungeon Siege 2 and Fallout Tactics: BOS) or those that have other modifications packaged with them (Neverwinter Nights 2).

Dungeon Master 2: Return To Chaos - The Removal of Tornham (and a Dungeon Master 1 character creation) Description: In classic Dungeon Master 1 you create your own party at start - the game starts in a weird mode, where you don't have anybody in you party and you cannot leave the first floor of the game until you select at least one character (up to four characters can be selected). In classic Dungeon Master 2 it is very different - you have a predefined character called Tornham, and you can only create up to 3 characters. I found a mod that modifies the DM2 character creation to be like DM1. Not long ago I found the Return To Chaos (RTC), which is basically the remake that uses the original graphics and something I can recommend, and contains Dungeon Master 1, Chaos Strikes Back (personally I'm calling it Dungeon Master 1.5, since it is a standalone game, story-wise between 1 and 2) and Dungeon Master 2. But because RTC was made from the bottom up, the mod in question doesn't work of course (because logically it is a different game altogether code-wise). This is my thread of thinking afterwards: "I wish I could code... " ... "Wait, I can actually code! But still, I don't have the code source... wait, this is a fan game, maybe there are source files at the RTC website!" - and that is how this mod came into existance. :D Language: for English versions Direct link: CLICK HERE |
Might and Magic Merge: The World of Enroth Description: Might and Magic Merge is a mod from Rodril and GrayFace, which combines MM6, MM7 and MM8 into one game, plus adds tons of other content and removes the limitations. My "mod's mod" unlocks all the possibilities during character creation - normally in MMMerge you can create only those races and classes that are native to the selected continent. My unlocker unlocks this, and does the same for all the race / class combinations. Do you want to have a Minotaur Archer? A Dragon Mage? A Skeletal Knight? A Troll Paladin? A Goblin Necromancer? A Dwarven Dark Elf? Well, you can now. :D Language: for English versions If you are searching for a link, check the base description in this cell for a link to the Tracker - the Tracker will always contain the newest links to the modifications. Racial Skills replacing Racial Classes from MM8 Description: The devs of MM8 didn't have enough time to implement all races and classes, so they have mishmashed them together (where for example a race is Minotaur and the class is Minotaur as well). One of the main reasons was their inability to implement "Abilities" proparly - they should've been skills that are connected to races instead of classes. Rodril has implemented a method which enables us to do something like that and have skills that will be accessible through race instead of class. I have used that to replace the original "racial classes". So now if you were to create for example a Vampire Cleric dudette, she will have all the skills the Clerical class provides, and in addition to that, Vampiric abilities! Or a Dragon Sorcerer, Dragon Necromancer, a Troll Ranger (which provides regeneration). The same thing was done for MM7 races to balance things a bit. Please read the README file, the racial skills are additive to the class skills in Rodril's current implementation (so for example a Goblin Ranger will have Master Armsmaster instead of Expert due to that). Racial skills are added automatically during Character Creation. V2 - The table structure changed in the newest version of the Merge, so I had to change my own little file. Also I did some changes - dwarves and humans were boosted based on feedback. Wizardry 7 Gold - Portraits from Wizardry 8 Description: The most cited reason on why people should play the DOS version of Wizardry 7 over the Gold one on the internet is that the portraits in Gold ... weren't drawn by a professional. This modification imports Wizardry 8 portraits into Wizardry 7 Gold. There is some meager degree of quality loss (perhaps due to the four-times less number of pixels, or mayhaps because in 7 Gold the portraits need to have indexed colours? :) ) but after many hours of manually made conversions those are now usable (much more usable than the original 7 Gold ones were). The smaller (overworld) portraits have a nice decorative frame around them, which was my personal addition. :) 65 portraits were added in total. Wizardry 8 - the Pixie from Wizardry 7 (with animations added) Description: Since one of the female fairies in Wizardry 8 looks "kinda" nice and the second one seems middle-aged, and there is no representation of the W7 fairy, I decided to transfer her to W8. Neither W7Dos or W7Gold portrait is used - instead I used the source that was used to create the vanilla W7Gold fairy portrait (i.e. before it was downgraded for the game, the very source material). Then I animated blinking / closing eyes, moving eyebrows, and moving lips / mouth / jaw. More information is in README.txt Game version: Tested on 1.24 |
